A poem for my dog, who is afraid of fireworks tonight.
Advice for my dog Brinkley and his brother Vincent
Oh my little timid Brinkle
See up in the sky lights twinkle?
Hear the noise? They roar and crack.
Giving you a heart attack.
Your eyes are wide, your nose a-wrinkle
Too scared to go outside to tinkle
Grab your favorite squeaky toy
and snuggle close to Vinny boy
If you can lull yourself to sleep
This too shall pass as morning creeps.~Manna
