Cheers. The strand-like plants? Hmmm...there are two. The straight ones are Vallisneria spirallis and the curled ones are Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae. The latter ones are better looking in my opinion, and hardier. I'd like to get a few more.

Take the thermometer out before a shot! :)

Nah, let it grow, see what happens, fine tune your fertilising and start saving for a transparant spraybar. You're at the finishing touches stage now.

I could move the thermometer round the side so it's not so "in your face". Not sure I want to remove it completely though as I check the temperature daily. Good idea, thanks.

Yes I'm going to start saving for better looking kit...although I keep looking at 4 foot tanks and thinking how nice an upgrade would be!

Your tank is starting to get the "jungle" look, looks fantastic! The only real complaint I have ever heard about the Eheim filters is the ugly green color on the tubing. I know several people who have painted them. I am not sure what is available to you over there, but Krylon Fusion brand paint is often used for in-tank painting.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
