my parent guppies spawned about a year ago, and their size doesnt seem as large as it should be, except for a couple of females that are okay sizewise. please answer, because i plan to breed platys in the future.

Do the male and female look smaller? Or the fry? Your tank is small enough that the phermones to keep other guppies from spawning is strong, inhibiting them. That, perhaps is slowing their growth.

What is the filtration and tank maintenance schedule? Some fish release hormones that inhibit growth. If you aren't changing enough water weekly that could well be the issue.
    8 tanks running now:
    1x 220 gallon, 2x55 gallon, 1x40 gallon long, 1x29 gallon, 1x20 gallon long, 1x5.5 gallon, 1x2 gallon
Gouramis, barbs, rasboras, plecos, corys, tetras, fancy guppies, swordtails, ottos, rainbow shark, upside-down catfish, snails, and Max and Sparkles the bettas.
