Hmm, as much as I love the eartheaters I think they have some finicky requirements as far as temperature goes. They are from colder waters.
How about this:
5 blue acara
2 bolivian rams
10 congo tetras
8 cory cats
4 oto cats
With this stock I could keep just two of the acara and re-home the rest once a mating pair forms.

How about trying key holes? and a few hoplo catfish with a large school of pretty tetras?

I don't know much about the cichlid side of things, but I have Congos and they're great -- get all-males if you can though, it's a much more impressive sight.
21 Tiger Barbs of different variations would also be AMAZING though -- I REALLY wanted to do this in my 70g but I was dead set on Angels and the barbs probably would have nipped them to bits. :(120g New World Cichlids ♦ 65g South-East Asian Planted Community ♦ 30g in-the-works ♦ 15g Tanganyikan Shell-Dwellers
