I’m used to finding the odd aiptasia in my 90 gallon every month or so. I usually let it grow a little and then get rid of it with some aiptasia destroyer. I got them from the live rock that I used for this set-up as I did not cure the rock before putting it in the tank.

This is the first time I have seen one growing on anything but the rocks. I did not think they would grow on a skimmer pump, but that’s where I found one when I went to move a few things around in the sump.

At least this one will be easy to get rid of

Thats pretty cool... well maybe not for you I guess.

If I ever start a marine tank... I'd be lucky to grow even that

LOL, I would not call that luck Aeonflame. If you did set-up a reef tank I know it would be fantastic.

But I am lucky that I only get one or two per month.

I've been getting the odd one or two also. a syringe and lemon juice kills them instantly for me.

When I run out of the aiptasia destroyer, I'll give that a try

I have to stop buying that stuff anyways as 3/4 of it usally goes bad before I can use it all

one thing I learned about aiptasia is that they actually can move around the tank. I thought I killed one, but turned out it moved behind a rock and thought I wouldn't see it. hehe, got it though.
