My Own Little Adventure
I want to start off by saying thanks to everyone who has helped me get this far.
My tank is almost cycled, and it's thanks to everyone here!!! I would like to give a special thanks to Lady Hobbs for suggesting I do a W/C today, because I'm pretty sure that my cycle will be done tomorrow because of that.
Okay, here is a pic. I know it's pretty crappy, but I'll upload a better one soon.
The bricks are obviously not a part of the setup, they are just holding down the wood.
The tank is a 55g. On it I am running a Aqua-Tech 55, and an Aqua-Tech 10. Both are HOB filters, and today I added a little Biomax.
My current stock list is planned to be:
3 German Blue Rams
1 Dwarf Gourami
20 Cardinal Tetras
15 Tiger Barbs
5 Khuli Loaches
And either one pleco, or a few corys
Does that sound like too much?
I saw the tiger barbs today and LOVED the way they schooled.
Let me know what you all think!!!130g: 4 Angelfish, 2 Roseline Sharks, 2 Conga Tetras, 5 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, 1 Corydora

I would tie some fish line around the wood and blocks and put the blocks on the bottom. I'm a bit afraid the wood may rise sending the block into the side of the glass. You could also bury the blocks a bit with the gravel so it wasn't so obvious.
Pleco's get over a foot. I wouldn't get one of those and I would not get Tiger Barbs.

I'm with Lady Hobbs on this one, a Common Pleco and Tiger Barbs are a bad idea. The Common Pleco can get up to 2' which is WAY too big for a 55g and unless the Tiger Barbs school is moderately big, they will pick at the slow moving Angel's fins and stress them out.
Half of your stocking list is Amazon related, so why not just go with Amazon stocking? You could do 1 Angel, 2 German Rams, 20 Cardinal Tetras, and a shoal of Corys? About 10 to make it a good sized shoal and call the tank done.
I would personally ditch the 10g filter and buy a Canister filter rated for at least a 55g tank, that way you get more than plenty of filtration.

That post was just a suggestion, if you have your heart set on a certain fish than feel free to let us know but we're here to help you create a tank that not only looks good in your living room, but can coexist peacefully.

Yes Lady10, you are correct. The small filter is picking up all that good bacteria to go on my QT.
As for the Tiger Barbs I really love them, but can forgoe them if needed.
As for the pleco's not all species get that big, all is needed is a little research. I think I would rather have the corys though! :)
Going to the Petstore for my first batch!!!!!!!!!!!!!130g: 4 Angelfish, 2 Roseline Sharks, 2 Conga Tetras, 5 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, 1 Corydora
