Getting a .44 Mag!
0
I've been looking into buying a BIG revolver for the purpose of hunting Whitetail. After looking around a bit and doing a good bit of research...I've decided to get a Taurus 444 Raging Bull w/ an 8-3/8" barrel. Seems like the most bang for my buck...excuse the pun!

Taurus has somewhat of a spotty past, but it seems like they have taken care of some quality control issues and i have heard very good reviews on this particular firearm. It is supposed to be accurate and reliable.
We shall see! Should be picking it up this weekend.
Any other gun owners on here? Thoughts?

LOL! I'm sure i'll be muttering that in my head when I pull up on a deer for the first time with it! I hear you loud and clear on the german fella!

Overkill is underrated! I believe people refer to them as "hand cannons".

One of the first guns I bought was a Taurus 9mm auto and in the 30 years I have owned it I've had no problems...
I haven't actually picked it up yet. I hope to get it Saturday...Or at least get it ordered. It should run me about $600-$700. Glad you've had good experiences w/ your Taurus!

LOL, I think hand cannon is a pretty good description if a 44 mag is anything like a 41.
I've only fired a 41 mag before and I had a blast (pun intended)
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

From what I've read...The .44 Mag is a little bit more powerful the the .41 Mag. People say they are very similar though.
