Getting a .44 Mag!
I've been looking into buying a BIG revolver for the purpose of hunting Whitetail. After looking around a bit and doing a good bit of research...I've decided to get a Taurus 444 Raging Bull w/ an 8-3/8" barrel. Seems like the most bang for my buck...excuse the pun!

Taurus has somewhat of a spotty past, but it seems like they have taken care of some quality control issues and i have heard very good reviews on this particular firearm. It is supposed to be accurate and reliable.
We shall see! Should be picking it up this weekend.
Any other gun owners on here? Thoughts?Last edited by Demjor19; 06-05-2012 at 09:00 PM.

You feeling lucky . . . Punk.
Had to say that
only gun I've got is a decommisioned german shotgun, duel trigger from WW2, my grandfather 'aquired' it from the bad german man, as he, well, eh, wouldn't be needing it no more, if you get what I mean.
My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

Nice, Have to ask what it set you back money wise...
One of the first guns I bought was a Taurus 9mm auto and in the 30 years I have owned it I've had no problems...

.
You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.

LOL, I think hand cannon is a pretty good description if a 44 mag is anything like a 41.
I've only fired a 41 mag before and I had a blast (pun intended)If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

From what I've read...The .44 Mag is a little bit more powerful the the .41 Mag. People say they are very similar though.

Even I'm thinking of a new rifle...I need one that will do to euthanize a horse if necessary.
Then I don't have to call out the neighbour in an emergency...or make an injured animal wait who knows how long for a vet to come out...
Suggestions as to caliber anyone? I've asked 3 different people, and got 3 different answers...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos
25 g Tropical Tank - Celestial Pearl Danio/Mixed
