That's a great explanation, thank you so much!

Colombians are beautiful! I almost went with those for my 70g but then went with a school of Congo Tetras instead. :)120g New World Cichlids ♦ 65g South-East Asian Planted Community ♦ 30g in-the-works ♦ 15g Tanganyikan Shell-Dwellers

I think this is a perfect pick for you. Angels aren't nutty swimmers and are slow movers. Mine seems to stay in the same place in the tank most of the day. Your rams and kribs will hang together, too, so those tetra's will be great as they'll be all over the place.
Dang it. Now I am gonna get me some more!

The rainbows won't school so if you want schooling fish I'd go for the Tetras.
BTW, I have a group of 6 Bosemani in a 75 gallon, they get large and very aggressive as they get large. Mine are about 5 inches long and 2 inches tall now. Gorgeous fish but they are more like cichlids now.

Have you decided, yet? Is it too late to chime in? Serpaes tore my angels to bits, so I had to move them to another tank. We went with emperor tetras, and they are absolutely gorgeous. They have a beautiful blue sheen to them in the right light, and they shoal fairly tightly. We have 3 males to 7 females. They don't bother the angels, and they are too big to be eaten.
