Quick
Im not freakign out since i got all my tests under control now. Im wondering. With the stocking i just did going from 3 fish to 6 plus 3 shrimp and a snail. How do i know that the mini cycle is done.
Right now i havent had any Nitrite at all for the last week. i had no ammonia Saturday and today thursday i have just about 0.25ppm ammonia. and i have about 10ppm NItrate. could the ammonia be from the new plants/mini cycle overfeeding. IF i have nitrates shouldnt the ammonia be removed?

A mini-cycle is just like a regular cycle only it takes a shorter time to complete. You will know it's done the same way you know the regular cycle was done, when you have 0 ammonia and nitrites and some nitrates. Just like when you were originally cycling the tank, it's common to have ammonia, nitrite and nitrate at the same time until the cycle is done.
If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.
