Which Gourami should I add?

I assume you mean angels in the 70 gal. A 30 is far too small for even a single angel.

Iridovirus is known to affect both Dwarfs and Three-spots (Opaline, Blue, Yellow, etc.) It's unclear whether a strain has developed in Pearl Gouramis as much of the research behind the disease stopped years ago.

Some people have luck with mixing Gouramis and Cichlids (the Angels) but I personally don't recommend it due to their using the same territory/area of the aquarium. Depends on the temperament of the individual fish, though, and whether the Angels are breeding.

xD Yes Cermet, Koi angels are my planned feature fish for my 70g. They'll share it will Congo tetras and some bottom-dwellers.

Thanks for your input, Void. Don't think I'll attempt it, and if I do I'll be sure to have a backup plan. :)

Nope, common plecos and angels in an aquarium that big need 10 clown loaches and 20 bala sharks, otherwise, they will be unhappy. They also need 3 male bettas and some 12" koi to keep them entertained.

All jokes aside, I like dwarf gouramis and gold gouramis. Though I think golds get 8 inches.... do not remember.

6 inches is more common for Trichogaster trichopterus ("Gold" Gouramis, and their other color variants), and some females will max out at a mere 4''. Though yes, 8'' is possible in excellent conditions.

I've had one gourami that I actually liked, a Moonlight. You seldom hear of them here at all. He was the only one I had. He was nearly 5" and had feelers that were really long. He was very cool and he had a 55 gallon with a few other species.

The golds are variants of the opaline/2 spots/blues aren't they? Platinums are the same again I think. The largest I've ever seen was about 6 inches.

Ooh yes I forgot to put moonlight's in my first post, lady Hobbs. They are quite common here. I really quite like those, especially because of how long their feelers get. Very pretty. Hear they have nicer temperaments than the golds/blues/whites and dwarves.

The Golds are color morphs of the Three Spot Gourami. The Three Spot Gourami is so named for the "three" spots on the Blue color morph (two spots and the eye.) While some other color morphs have only one spot or none at all. (Or in the case of Opaline, that messed up pattern.) Platinums are indeed a Three Spot, and sometimes the "Lavender" Three Spot is considered a color morph, but it's usually just a junk fish made by crossing the other color morphs together.

And yeah, Three Spots are pretty much the nasty folks of the bunch. Almost any other Gourami species, and it'll have a nicer temperament. lol
