I got a bushynose pleco from the lfs yesterday and I just want to give it the best. So I'm wondering what some good food would be and what accessories I should have. Thanks!

Fresh veggies are always a good choice as well as some good quality algae waffers. That will allow you to offer different types of food which my plecos always enjoy

Make sure you have some driftwood in the tank for him as well. They love to chew on drift wood
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I give my bushynose a slice of cucumber or zuchini stuck on a fork about three times per week. He loves it!

I have some driftwood and I put it in a bucket to get rid of the stuff that colors the water and it just doesn't seem to go away. Thanks Cliff!

I have some algae wafers too. I'll probably try those veggies. Thank you all for the help!

We feed our fresh veggies about twice a week or so. Squash and zucchini that has been dunked in hot water for about 15 minutes. Here is a short video of our plecos eating this.
