  1. Default oscars and blackwater extract?

    title says all. i have baby oscars with black skirt tetras and i heard that tetras like blackwater extract. i was wondering if the oscars would be fine with it too? any advice is apprecieated

    They should be fine with it. They took over the entire everglades system, they're tough.

    Should be fine, Oscars are SA anyway and like blackwater. Im not sure back skirts are a good idea permanently though, wouldn't they become food before too long? How many O's and what size tank out of curiosity?

    Save your money by not buying that gimick. If you want the same affect then get some oak leaves,they are free. FJ mentios the tetra being food for the oscars,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yup. Maybe not while the oscars are babys but it wont take long for the aggressive oscars to start chasing the tetra.
