Took the plunge

This past weekend I decided to take the plunge and bought a 150 gallon tank off craigslist to replace my 75 gal. It was $400 bucks for tank, stand, lights and hood. I also got an FX5 filter for $100. Only thing is we are getting ready to move cross country in a month so I have to wait to set it up. I am hoping to upgrade the lighing on it to an LED system at some point but judging how much those fixtures cost it won't be for awhile. My number one priority now is making sure my fish survive the 3 day trip.

FX5s are great workhorses on larger tanks, nice pickup. make sure you post pics and keep us updated

Three Day trip? Very nice upgrade as Crispy says. Transporting the fish might be interesting depending on what you have.

Maybe think about how these online guys ship and that might help you come up with a 3 day transport solution.
