Cracked Tank
I'll spare the story... has anyone had any success replacing the bottom panel on a tank? Its small, a standard 29... was hoping to fix it and sell it if possible. Thanks.

The cost of fixing it may exceed what you're likely to get for it.
The proper way to fix it would be removing all the silicone, taking the tank apart and rebuilding it.
The easier way, if the bottom is just cracked, is to cut away the bottom silicone, drop in the proper size pane, and silicone that in place. If you do that and sell it, you should water test it for a couple of weeks before saying it's a fish tank.

My 29 gallon was $32. Not worth repairing but worth trying to sell to someone for a hamster or gerbil as long as you're honest. You should be able to get $10-15.

Good call everyone... I just needed some reassurance that it really isnt worth fixing... I suppose my roommate might like it as a gerbil cage... might just have to get some plastic or something and glue it into the bottom.
