Unfortunately have never seen a live bearer give birth yet. So, not sure if breach is an issue. (I always miss it)

My instincts say to net and try tweezer it out, or wait and see if she can pop it out.

its been over an hour now and tail is whiter then it should be. i think its dead by now. i will try to tweezer it. thanks

    Your welcome, good luck.

went to tweez it but baby tail twitched and somehow went back inside. to my knowledge, they are born in an eggsack that bursts upon entry into the water.
im affraid that this mother is doomed if she cant reabsorb her baby.

Good luck. My platies are either giving birth to a couple at night and they get eaten or they just arent ready.

Have you separated her to give her to reduce some stress? I dont know if they can try to give birth again if it doesnt work. Good luck.
