Aquarium safe glue?
I was planning on doing that pvc cave project, but when I was chatting to the worker at home depot about it, he told me that none of the silicone sealent would be safe for aquarium use. Petsmart didn't have anything either.
So, what glues/sealents are safe? So that I know a specific brand to go for. :)"Can ye fathom the ocean, dark and deep, where the mighty waves and the grandeur sweep?" - Fanny Crosby

Any 100% clear silicon would be safe. Super glue is also safe as well as 2 part epoxy if cured before use.

PetSmart did not have aquarium silicone? How odd is that?

The only place I was able to find anything was walmart. I have two different types :
Kwik Seal 3.0 Kitchen and Bath
Waterproof Silicone Kitchen/Bath/Plumbing
It was the best I could find. Which would be better? The second one - the waterproof silicone - I was leaning towards it, but when I tried to use it the bottom blew out."Can ye fathom the ocean, dark and deep, where the mighty waves and the grandeur sweep?" - Fanny Crosby

Make sure the silicon has no mildew or mold inhibitors (sp?) In them. Pure 100% silicon is what you should be looking at for silicone. Im shocked petsmart didnt have aquarium safe..... You could always order offline and safe a buck and peice of mind

Well, I was bored and read all the fineprint and it turns out the silicone one isn't meant for aquariums, and the other one has the mold/mildew thing. Ughh. I've checked all the local petstores, hardware stores and walmart, can't find anything :-(
I'm turning to Ebay now!"Can ye fathom the ocean, dark and deep, where the mighty waves and the grandeur sweep?" - Fanny Crosby

All I can find on Ebay is 'all-glass aquarium silicone sealant'.
Can I use that on pvc pipes/rocks?"Can ye fathom the ocean, dark and deep, where the mighty waves and the grandeur sweep?" - Fanny Crosby
