Best Crayfish food
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knows what the best food to feed a crayfish is. Pellets? Vegetables?
Thanks in advance!45 gallon: 1 Blood Parrot, 2 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Panda Flavatra, 1 Clown Pleco

Crayfish, or crawdads as we call them in the south US, are omnivores. That means they will happily eat whatever meaty of vegetable foods you care to. When I kept them they deeply enjoyed shrimp pellets that had dissolved a bit in their water.
Pelleted food always better. You can spritzer the pellets before feeding with Kent Zoe or Super Selco to make the pellets smell and taste better to the crawdad, not to mention making the pellets more nutritious.

Yeah - they'll eat nearly anything, but I have to recommend a high quality vegetable / algae-based wafer as a staple. You can def mix in some meaty foods, but I've had better growth, smoother molting, and better temperament and color when feeding green foods as a staple.
