    Default Impulse shopping for tarantulas...

    0 Not allowed!
    Well, it wasn't totally impulsive...

Before I got any tarantulas, I was looking the the Chilean Rose Tarantulas at the local petstore as a 'starter'...and decided against one. They're common, not particularly attractive, etc. And...I wanted to rear them up from babies...

But lately I've also been wanting a spider that's a little more grown...and doesn't hide all the time...just so I see one without squinting

    (Basically, I want it ALL).

So yesterday I went to pick up Ling's dinner supply...and a couple of bird toys...and decided to get the T...he had 2 in stock...I got the one with the nicer legs...

I have no desire to handle the spiders...they don't like it and I'm not scared, so no need to prove I'm tough...but she was handled a lot by the petstore owner, so if I ever needed to, I at least have one I know is unlikely to either bite or make the big escape for freedom (and a dark corner far far away from mankind).

Now I have 5. I hope this one (she) does well. I don't know if this is true...but she's about 1/2 grown and roughly 2 years old - so I'll just go with her 'birthday' will be April 9th...

    Congrats on the new addition

Now that you got that fancy new internet connection, you should post some pics.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Congrats! T's are awesome. So did you end up getting a Rose Hair or another species?

I have a Rose Hair, she's great. I'm getting a Brazillian Salmon Pink Birdeater though this month, so excited!

Have fun with your T, and just so you can't have just one :P
