  1. Default Silver Dollar Tetras & Plants

Are there any plants I can put in my 75gl that my Silver Dollars won't eat?
    Thanks,

I think I read that they don't like java ferns.
    My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

Java Fern and Moss. Also the onion plant but very possibly the crypt.
Plants are part of their normal diet. Mine were fed a huge romane lettuce leaf every day in addition to their regular food.

Thank you both. I'll keep those plants in mind when I start setting up my 75gl.

Don't know if all silver dollars are equal, but my red hook silver dollars devour ALL flora. They are 10 yrs old, and never have I found a plant they didn't destroy... Except plastic!

Have you tried those I mentioned? They are nasty tasty and generally SD will find them distasteful.

Yes, java fern, lace java, and java moss. As for moss balls- no, but I'm not sure if that is what you where refering to w/ "moss". The only plant that ever had a fighting chance w/ them was duck weed... They ate that, too, but it grew SO fast! Only problem was I hated how it looked and I thinned it out till it was a light snack. Again, mine are large 9"+++ red hooks. May have more of an appetite for flora than regular sd.
