Funny you should mention updates, I've been working away a lot of last month so haven't had time to fiddle with the tank.
However, I have just ordered a plain black background + background glue to mount it.
After that has been mounted I can move the tank into the final position and begin hardscaping it.
Slow progress.
Edit: Oh and Philip, sorry to hear about your exploding tank! :(
Edit2: I hope my tank doesn't explode, 240litres of water in the living room would not go down well with the landlord.Last edited by FishyFingers; 04-29-2012 at 08:51 PM.

Sorry -at least the plastic pieces aren't as bad as glass to clean up, at least. Still can be a hazard ... . Hope the water didn't do any harm.
Knowledge is fun(damental)
A 75 gal with eight Discus, fake plants, and a lot of wood also with sand substrate. Clean up crew is fifteen Sterba's Corys. Filters: canister w/UV, in-tank algae scrubber that removes phosphates and nitrates! Also, a highly dangerous commercial nitrate removal unit from hell

Well I've ordered my black background and some of this special mounting gel to get it flush on the back, along with some household ammonia for the fish less cycle.
I've also ordered a 9kg bag of Eco complete I'm going to do a mix substrate not mixed together but applied in patches, so sand and Eco complete ordered a fish tank only bucket, all I've left to buy is the manual siphon. Then I can begin the setup.

Just ordered a decent siphon and a separate gravel cleaner, so everything should be here in the next week or two I'll update with some pictures as I go.
