Default Will Yoyo Loaches Eat Red Cherry Shrimp?

Will they eat RCS? Because I heard snails are part of their diet and so are invertebrates, but will they wipe out a population? Keep them in check? Or not bother them?

I don't know but as soon as I can find yoyo's, they're going in my tank with RCS. Shrimp are great hiders and very fast so perhaps they will be OK. I think the loaches will be more excited about the 300 snails.

Ghost shrimp not equal to RCS.
    300 snails LH? Exaggeration?
My LFS stocks them, plenty of them too. If you want you can get them online at aquariumfish.net.
Anyway, no solid answer right now, so I am assuming they won't get nommed. Plus, the plants and DW will hide them hopefully enough?
LiveAquaria also stocks it as lohachata loach.

300 is a conservative guess. I should have gone higher.

    "conservative"?
How many tanks do you have, anyway?
    And definite experience anyone?

just my 2 cents, but ghost and rcs grow to be about the same size, so i would think if ridgenesss's yoyos ate 2 dozen of his shrimp theres a good chance of them going after your rcs.

    quote from wiki
"Like the clown loach, the yoyo loach will readily devour snails, especially the smaller variety. Invertebrates are one of the yoyo loach's natural food sources, and freshwater shrimp and snails are not safe."

i know its not the most reputable source.....

They will defiantely eat them and hunt them to extinction in any tank shrimp are in *LOL* They do a brilliant job with snails too

I had a fry tank over run with snails (300-400 of em) within a week of the loaches being put in, ALL snails were gone.

Do not underestimate the Yoyo *L*

I love my shrimp, so no way on this green earth would i put even one of these decimators in my shrimp tank!!
