Yes! Success! I'm glad you have son larvae - that's awesome.
My male dollar is gaurding eggs as we speak, but I don't know if any will make to hatch with snail bullheads sneaking around at night. Let us know how raising them up goes.
Have some baby brine shrimp ready for when they use up their yolksacs. They should switch over to finely chopped up bloodworms soon afterwards. Also, my suggestion with these fry is to only try to keep about 20 or so, then slowly cull them to about a dozen and go from there. Trying to raise 100s of sunfish fry healthy and keeping the water quality can be quite a challenge. Keeps us posted!

That is awsome! What size tank do you have them in? Are they the only fish in the tank?

Sorry UncleWillie but that video was almost a month ago and i have my suspicions that the father fish ate all of the fish fries but a few days later, I saw the father fish fust fanning its tail everywhere in the aquarium and then it happened...the father fish spawned again and now the frys are free moving; at least for now before it might become a cannibal again.
PS: here is a video of the day before i saw it spawned

    all the best,
