We're putting a 125 gallon tank on layaway tomorrow so I'm considering the pictus again. If they're not strictly nocturnal, I'm considering a group of 5 of them.
We have zebra loaches in one 55, and I plan on adding yoyos to our other 55, so I'm looking for something different (ie the pictus) for the large tank.Livestreaming my 220 Gallon Aquarium

I'm not sure about the nocturnal thing but just make sure you're not having them with any smaller fish. They will eat whatever fits into their mouths and possibly a bit bigger too, haha.
That being said they're absolutely beautiful fish and I wish i had a tank big enough for them!
