How large is your tank and what do you currently have in there?

In general, the 1st recommendation is to increase your water temp to 82 & add salt - there is a sticky in the fish diseases section that explains ich - however, some fish don't do well with salt or high temps, therefore, the question about your current stocking.

When did you notice the spots and how many fish are affected? If ich treatment isn't started right away it can kill your fish. At this point, you can try getting an adjustable heater to use instead of what you currently have and slowly increase the water temp, add salt (I'm not sure how much per gallon of water)...or use a medication - I used Kordon all natural ich treatment - it worked for my tank but others will recommend their favorite.

I must add that I just read the sticky in the "fish diseases" section of the forum which did not recommend the use of salt for scaleless fish (the corys) - I would read that for recommendations.

started treatment with 'Ick Guard'. Says you do not need to raise temp, which is good since I cannot really.

I 'think' I caught it early. just noticed it today. spots are on most every fish, but mostly on tails, and fins, although the pearl has it on her body abit too.
