36g Nano
0
Here is my 36g nano- been up and going for about 8 months, and I just now have stocked it over the past 2-3 months. If you see anything that strikes you as odd- please point it out! I am hoping I have done my research, and everything will be happy and grow large in the long run!

Looking pretty good so far.
What do you have for fish and inverts ? I was only able to see a clown and a shrimp
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Very nice, you have a pleasing looking tank and a sensibly stocked reef imo. What are your parameters settling out to be?

I was thinking this tank is on the "nano/not so much a nano" border-line. It used to be a 29 gal, and in November my sweet bf got me this 36 bow front. Those extra 7 gallons make quite a bit of difference, too.
As for the water perimeters, no nitrates since last October. I had a trace of phosphates (about 5ppm) back in January. Put a bag of Purigen in the return part of my protein skimmer- No problems since. I keep the gravity about 1.0245, temp at 80, the calcium seems to stay at 380 and dkH at 9. I recently started using the Seachem Aquavitro line of products, I like them so far.
I have 65w of 10k, 65w of actinic blue, a cpr backpak protein skimmer (for up to 50 gal), and about 70-80lbs of live rock. I do water changes weekly/bi monthly depending on how crazy my week has been. This is the first time I have had such a heavily coral stocked tank, so I would be happy for anyone to give input on anything from placement to anything they have found that keeps their coral happy.
One last thing I am getting in this week in the mail- a wavemaker I should have had one of these probably a couple months ago, but my 2 crappy powerheads have seemed to be ok. CAN'T WAIT for it to get here! As well as the robosnail- Not sure when it will finally ship out, but I'm SUPER excited to get it on my front glass.

Robosnail!? I googled that,,,,first time I ever heard of such a thing Our cats would have that fixed REAL quick
Upping your sg to 1.026 would help get more ca and mg into play which would be helpful to your corals.

OooooooOOOooohhh... I'm going to work on that over the next couple of weeks. I've been trying to get my Ca up, but just isn't quite working. I'll try bringing up by gravity.
As for the robosnail, I'll let you know how well it works out when it finally comes in. I didn't know anything about it, and my bf ordered it for me for valentine's day. Hasn't even hit the market yet! He's a keeper, lol! I had no idea what he was talking about, when he was telling me what he got. I'm SO excited about it!
