  1. Question MTS alternatives

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for an alternative to MTS to keep my gravel clean. Unfortunately MTS aren't available here.

The snails should be cheap and easy to breed and large enough to crawl around my gravel (small river stones) and eat all the crap that's between there.

    Any suggestions?

mts are only really better then any other snails if you have sand/dirt because they will burrow into the substrate so you avoid any gas pockets building up. you could also proably buy 50 mts for like 30 bucks total shipping and everything, alot of people consider them pest snails because they breed so prolifically.

if you dont want mts get ramshorn they are basically the same as mts but dont burrow.

Thanks a lot. Will the ramshorn snail be able to get down between the gravel and eat the stuff at the bottom? I'm also worried that the Oscars will eat the snails if they aren't under the gravel.
