I used to feed mine all the time. I have a coral banded shrimp now and I hand feed him, he has bigger pinchers then a cleaner and you dont even feel anything but a little tickle lol.

When I kept shrimp I would feed them flakes using a pair of tweezers. It seemed to work really well for me
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

They are shrimp,if you are feeding the tank then you are feeding them. They do a much better job of keeping the tank clean if they have to actually look for food. And yes,you could hand feed them, all my shrimp rush to my hand when I dropper feed the corals.
