Tank glass cleaner
Any suggestions what I should use to clean my boys' grubby paw prints off the side of the tank? I'm guessing the traditional Windex probably isn't the best thing if it should get overspray in the water. Maybe 50% solution of vinegar and water? The boys are really excited about the new 75 gal tank. It's so much larger than the two 10 gal tanks we currently have. They're hoping for many new, colorful fish, and maybe some fish mating. Exciting times for the family!

I use regular glass cleaner, but I never spray in the direction of the tank. I turn my back to the tank, spritz a little on a paper towel, then wipe down the tank with that. Finish with a dry paper towel.

spray the windex on the paper towel and not the glass and you should be ok. i clean mine with windex and haven't ever had a problem doing it this way.

I mix 10-1 water vinegar in a spray bottle and use that on my tanks.
Works like a charm. Never have had any issues.Sailor

I use regular glass cleaner, like Fishin Phil says, just turn your back to the tank and spray the paper towel.
It might also be a good idea to teach your boys to stop putting their hands on the tank, that can be stressful to the fish if they are tapping or hitting the glass. If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.

Spray a paper towel with Windex. It doesn't take special cleaners.

I also do the same thing, windex on a paper towel.

Thanks
Okay. Thanks for the fast answers. Just be careful to spray away first. Fortunately the boys don't tap on the tank...they just like to touch it. The fish seem to like following their fingers around.
