Well after some inspection whilst following a comparison chart I can safely say that Wizzle is an Eastern Hermanns Tortoise. This is the larger of the subspecies with males maxing at 7 inch and females 8 inch.
The western variety are smaller and the markings more defined. I still love him/her though!!
Got back from up North lastnight and washed him, his shell is really looking nice.
