Ok..well this might sound stupid but i have to ask. Do blue gouramis build a bubble nest or do they lay their eggs on like a rock or somkething. I believe that they build a bubblenest but i have never saw mine building one before.

WOW that actually sounds really interesting. What is a bubble nest? Is it exactly what its name says it is and is really a nest made out of bubbles????

Yeah i believe that all labrynth fish make them (well the males make them) and then they breed with the femela who drops her eggs nd the male fertilizes them while they drop, and then the male puts them in his mouth and spits them up into the bubble nest. The male makes the nest by breathing in (some of our air) and them wraping his suliva [spit(sp?)] arouns the bubble and placing it in a floating piece of plant or against the side of the tank. They do this for a while until the nest is big enough.
Here is a photo of a betta bubblenest.
