New kids in town!!

So I rehomed some fish to a friend who had a newly cycled 40 gal. It was a perfect set up for the african cichlids I had in my 20 gal. Caves, rocks, and a few fake plants. So they're all settled in their new home a few miles down the road.

I then proceeded to move my rams (blue, gold, and bolivian) into the empty 20 gal along with a school of tetras..

And now the most exciting part!! Got myself a couple of little cuties!!

The white one's body is about the size of a dime and the black one is roughly the size of a nickle, slightly smaller. I'm hoping that I can keep both in this tank for a while, if not get lucky and have gotten a male and a female. Should I go back tomorrow and get one more in the hopes of getting a pair? I really would like to try to breed them at some point. The two I have follow each other around, it's kind of cute.

How many rams did you put in the 20g? I wouldn't keep more than one pair in that size tank. They may start fighting over space.

The new angels look nice. What size tank are they in? if it is big enough, some of the rams can go back in there.

I have 1 golden, 1 blue, and 1 bolivian. It's a temporary situation while I convice the BF of a second 55gal, possibly larger.

The angels are in a 55 with 2 small schools (under 10 each) of tetras, 7 cory's, and 2 otos. It's planted with some driftwood, 2 tetra whisper ex 45 filters, bubble strip, and 2 24" lights (came with the tank).

the 55 sounds nice. The rams and angels can easily all fit in there if you wanted to move them back. I used to have a very similar setup with no issues.

I've considered it but what I'd really really like to do is get an other 55, then up my number of GBR's to 5 and see if I can get a pair. Then that pair would go in the 20 and I'd try my hand at breeding them as well as the angels.

Should I get more angels in the hopes of finding a pair? If so how many more?

You have a good chance of getting a pair if you start with 6 but you MUST be ready to remove and rehome four of them when a pair forms or you will end up with several dead angels.

I've decided not to get more angels. If the two I have now pair off, I'd be more than happy. If not, I'm hoping the tank is planted and divided enough that there wont be too much aggression. If it does happen I do have a plan in place.
