Twice as nice, Second time around!
A beautiful site to behold! Marcus and Maria's second time around. As of the last couple hours, Maria's been laying eggs and enticing Marcus back to the site of the egg laying time to time. He's obliged and spread his essence on the site of the eggs as well. As he was doing in the picture below. So, here's to the second chance. Sure is nice to see Maria asserting herself again.

Well, after 2 days; they ate the eggs again. Oh well... This time it seems the male isn't being hostile towards the female. Maybe this time will be more peaceful leading up to the next.

Sorry to hear that
I know all too well how it feels to be excited when you see those eggs only to have your bubble burst when you realize they are gone and gone for the wrong reason.
They'll keep trying. Hopefully they get it right sooner rather than later.10 Gallon: Planted Red Cherry Shrimp

Well, took him alot longer this time to get moody with Maria; so maybe they're a bit closer for next time. Can already tell they're a bit larger too. Hoping by next time, they're all settled into the 50 g.

And now we come to the 7th try. Good luck Marcus and Maria. Don't make egg salad sandwiches this time.

Good luck - my discus (male) failed more times than I want to count. Finally removed them from the breeding tank. Hope the eggs give you lots of fry!

A 75 gal with eight Discus, fake plants, and a lot of wood also with sand substrate. Clean up crew is fifteen Sterba's Corys. Filters: canister w/UV, in-tank algae scrubber that removes phosphates and nitrates! Also, a highly dangerous commercial nitrate removal unit from hell
