So I saw my 1st Bristleworm in my cube, it's about 4 inches long and I've decided to leave it be based on what I've been reading. Theres not alot of competion for food in the tank and an extra scavenger to turn the substrate can't hurt. I diden't have my camera handy so the oportunity to take a photo of him against the glass and under the sand passed.
I will keep an eye out for predation on my corals...

If your not angry, your not paying attention...

they're fugly little buggers but definitely where there's one there's more, they aren't bad unless you start seeing a lot of them very often, then you most likely have an over feeding problem
55g Long --> After 18mo of doing well the tank crashed during moving. Most likely cause: Flatworm Die-off... won't start another until after moving... Likely not until late 2013

20g Long --> currently concoting a build plan

Check out the journal to follow my 20g SW tank

If you will keep yours then so will i.

Just noticed one(white/creamy colour) in my 10gallon tank a few days ago and got worried sick.
But doing a research on them got rid of my goose bumps because they are known to actually be beneficial.

So keep a tab on yours and as soon as you notice anything destructive, please post. But until then, enjoy!!

The corals are fine and my Nitrates are staying uber low. I only have the Shrimp and Manderin Goby in there and do a 5G water change weekly. Getting rid of all the mechanical filtration and replaceing with live rock scraps and Macro algae in the cube seems to have helped that.
I peeked into the bay during routine maintenance as well as when I removed the lid and added 2 x LED strips, 1 actinic, 1 white, and found the bays full of all kinds of critters. New Stars, brittle stars and loads of copes back there.
I have a rock thats has a large hollow, I plan on stuffing a piece of squid in there and laying it on the sand, it should give me an idea of worm population when I pull it in the morning before lights on...
