Your pH is ok. optimal is 7. but 7.5 is fine. The pH isnt as important with Silver because their color doesn't really change. Im just giving you a heads up. Ive had Arowana for a very long time, and I have had them jump out or just go crazy after 6 or 7 years. Not always though. But it happens. Right now I have a pretty large Arow, about 2.5ft or so. Ive had the Arow for about 4 years now. He hasn't tried to jump out. But I try to keep my pH and all water parameters as close to the their original living enviroment as possible. Im not saying to change your pH. Im just saying its one of those things that is worth a shot if they start acting weird. I paid a LOT of money for my Arows, so I try to keep everything as perfect as possible. Not to mention, I just love my fish so I will do whatever to keep them happy.

But by all means, dont worry about your pH if its @ 7.5

Do you use any other additives to your water? Aquarium Salt? Blackwater? Anything of the sort?

Well, to lower the pH isnt hard, its just that you have to do it gradually. like, .02 every hour or so. the Arows can be very perticualr about things like that. I also do 10% water change a month, but I break that up into 5% every 2 weeks. Anyhow, your Arow will be ok, they are very tolerant to poor water conditions and I am sure you wont let that happen anyhow.

Give your Arow crickets ... they love that stuff at that age. Mealworms are awesome also. I have feeders for my Arows, but I always toss in some crickets and mealworms to supplement.

I hope you guys dont think that i am a know it all. I am just sharing what works for me and hope you can use whatever I share to help you out.

If you can share any info with me that would be great also, Im always looking for other methods.
