LOL, maybe. I've never kept one so I don't have personal experiance. But I'm thinking the info here is going to be pretty close based on other info out there
They are interesting fish for sure. Almost makes me want to set up another tank for one

Fire eels are monsters, tiretrack eels are the next size down, but there are a couple smaller species that would be suitable for a 29.
Most are river fish, like a sandy substrate to burrow in, and spend a good bit of their day that way. (Burrowed with their head sticking out of the sand.) Softer water suits them quite well. They typically prefer frozen bloodworms or live blackworms, and generally don't compete well with too many other species at feeding time. They'll also eat fry quite happily.
