  1. Default The "NoClean" Betta Bowl?

Apparently you pour water in, and the sludge from the bottom of the bowl ... jar ... travels up this pipe and out of the tank.

I am honestly not sure what I think of it. Other than I would not pay $75 for a bowl that small just to get out of cleaning it. It's a nifty idea, though. I wonder if it could be implemented on a much larger scale. Probably not - at least not without serious modifications.
I know what I'm doing, in theory.
    Begun 06.2011 - 10 gallon
3 Green Corydoras aeneus, 1 Gambusia affinis, Anubias barteri, Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Nymphoides aquatica, Hydrocotyle leucocephala, Alternanthera reineckii "roseafolia", Echinodorus parviflorus "Tropica", Ludwigia Ovalis
3 dogs, 3 cats, wild birds, lots of plants
    Begun 10.2011 - 3 gallon
    L. brasiliensis, H. leucocephala, 6 G. affinis, pond snails

It's not an aquarium, It's a large drink from 7-11.

I hate seeing idiocy like this marketed to people who don't know any better, It's just one more thing to dumb down the hobby.

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.

A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

I fail to see why anyone would buy a vase for a real living fish. There is not even a place to put a heater.

I don't see why things like this are passed and allowed to be sold.
    My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

    AMEN!

850, I find myself always getting the "you must spread some reputation around..." notification with you because your posts are always spot on.

The concept isn't bad, but the "tank" is terrible. No filter, no heater... MUCH too small. Just another in a long line of inappropriate ways to keep a betta.

I'm sorry but it is because of crap like this that gives the hobby a bad name and ammo for all the groups that want to ban the sale of fish etc in this wonderful world of aquatics.

Its sad to say but people will buy this. There are even people on this forum who keep their fish in unfiltered unheated tanks not much larger than that.

True story, unfortunately. It's bad enough when uneducated people fall for gimmicks like this, but if you're informed on proper fishkeeping practices, there's just no excuse for keeping them improperly, IMO.
