Ryukin acting strange
0
I have 4 fish in a 10 gallon tank, 3 Ryukin goldfish and 1 fish that I am not sure about (my roommate bough them).
My problem is that 2 of the Ryukin are hiding inside a rock cave decoration at the bottom of the tank, they do come out every so often and swim around but not for very long. After tehy swim for a little while they both end up back in the decoration and stay together. They look like they are cuddling together to stay warm or something. I am very concerned about my fish and would love any help at all!!!

What are your current water parameters ?
Did you cycle your tank ?
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I am unsure of the tank paramaters right now, I do not have any tests left right now, I have found out that the one will come out of the decoration when I put the net in the tank in a defensive manner. I will let you know the parameters as soon as I new tests!

If your not sure about the wate parameters, maybe do a 50% waterchange and see if that helps.
Are your fish showing any other signs of sickness ?

Any chance you could put up a pic of the mystery fish?
If I were you I'd tell your friend to start saving for a much bigger tank; all species of goldfish produce huge amounts of waste and grow absolutely massive; 10 gallons is nowhere near big enough for one, let alone 4.
