reef octopus bh100f its on and working!

Okeedokee. The xp3 is out and the reef octopus bh100f is in. It went well despite not having an open back tank stand. Fishing the old hoses out while having such little space behind the tank was tough to do without losing the water in the hoses on the floor. With some modifying of the length of the intake tube to allow actual surface skimming I got it renning just like a song. No loud pump or large amount of microbubbles as some complained about. The outlet it came with that is so much different then others I have seen seems to be just the ticket. I was able to cram a big bag of chemipure,a sock with phoslock and a purigen pouch in the xtra chamber though I did find that must be done with the pump off or you get a WET floor. It is much quiter then I hoped but not noisless like the can was. I cleaned the xp3 up for possible use on the parrot tank in place of the xp2.

not even a minute after that last post it overflowed again! I removed all the media to see if that stops it. I bought this model and paid xtra for it so I could use media,a bit miffed here.

On reef central they have threads dedicated to the manufacturers, maybe you can get some tips there? I got some help with my deltec that way.
