sw tank placement
Hey all! I'm thinking about starting a sw aquarium sometime in the future, hopefully soon, and since I messed up with my fw tank being a newbie and all, thought I'd make sure this time I was well prepared.
My first questions are about placement. I am going to get at least a 55g, but the only place I would have to put it atm without some serious rearranging is on my back porch/ lanai area. It's about 15*30sq ft, so there is plenty of room, and it is covered and screened. But it does get some sun in the p.m. I've read that tanks should not be in direct sunlight, but how much would be to much? Also, I live in Florida, so in the summer it can get 100 degrees in the summer and down to about thirty in the winter(rarely). Would that be to hot? Could a heater keep the tank warm in the winter? As always, any help/advice would be much appreciated!!90g w/ 2 bala sharks, 3 pearl gouramis, 3 clown loaches, 1 blue crawdad, 1 snow white crawdad

That certainly is not the best situation, but I have read about others doing that.
You should really have a stable temp in your tank. In the summer that would mean adding a chiller and having some really good heating in the winter if you want to keep your tank outside
Direct sunlight will help to promote algae growth, but I'm not too sure what limits there could be for a length of timeIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
