Stocking my 20g
Hi guys, I have just completed my fishless cycle and my new 20g tank is currently being enjoyed by my 4 new baby panda corys. They are quite hard to come by in my area so I snapped them up while I had the chance. In terms of future stocking my tank I would appreciate some advice/suggestions.
Stocking plans:
4 Panda corys
School of tetras (either Rummy-nose or Cardinals)
2 German Blue Rams
1 Angelfish as a centrepiece for the tank
Any immediate concerns about this choice of fish or compatibility/stocking numbers? Thanks

I'd say you are stocked and I would add that 20g is not really big enough for your angel + company. 20G is borderline too small for an angel anyway IMO.
Rams generally do better in mature stable tanks also.

Agree on the Angel.
If it was my tank, I'd leave the Angel off and call it a day. That is actually a very nice combo you have listed.125g - 6 Zig Zag Rainbows, 6 Turquoise Rainbows, 6 Boesmani Rainbows, 5 otos, 6 corys

If you were to leave the angel off, you'd have more room for a bigger tetra school, so personally, I would not get an angel and stick with what you have as previously mentioned. For a 'centerpiece' GBRs are very beautiful.

No angel, no german blues, IMO.
German Blues require much warmer water than your corydoras will be comfortable with. Additionally, if this is a standard 20g tank (not a 20g long), I don't believe that footprint allows for both a pair of rams and corydoras.
Rummynose and cardinal tetras also prefer it a bit warmer, I do believe.
Personally, in a 20g tank, I'd up that school of pandas to about six and put in a large-ish group of small schooling fish (harlequin rasboras would be a good choice)."The Dumpster Tank" 26g flat back hex - Betta albimarginata, corydoras, checker barbs, pork chop rasbora
"Nano Fish Tank" 20g long - Celestial Pearl Danios, microrasboras, Corydoras habrosus
"Mbuna Tank" 75g - Ps. saulosi, I. sprengerae, M. pulpican, M. joanjohnsonae
"Time Out Tank" 29g - dominant male Cynotilapia sp. "hara"

+1 to adding some more pandas for a proper school.
I would totally get a bit smaller tetra and stock them up to at least 8 in that tank. I wouldn't go for cardinals nor neons though. It's just my own preference though.
2 GBR in a 20? That's not gonna be advisable as nick said, plus you already have the pandas for bottom dwellers.Da name's Paul. Not Dave. ROFL

Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated.
My tank is 80cm long, so I think it is more of a 20g deep, rather than 20g long.
How many more panda corys do you reckon I should add for my school? Bring it up to 6?
I don't think any other tetras match the colours of the Cardinals... I would very much like to put 10 or 12 in to brighten my tank. Unless anyone knows of other bright tetras that would be a good alternative?
