How often do you go to Longwood Gardens? I am there almost all the time since I'm building a photography portfolio. Have you tried the orchid room? I find I get a lot of good shots there.

as a matter of fact i have i only took a few photos in there as orchids dont do much for me. my favorite area is the desert/arid area. some of my favorite picture are from there. here are a few of the orchid room though..

two tips i have (unless you already know in which case disregard) use DOF preview often, and be very careful. longwood gardens is very strict about photography of their plants. i wouldn't reccomend using them in a portfolio. they dont mind if you just share pictures of their flowers, but using them for personal gain (to get clients, make money, attract interest to you with the intent to make money) is a big no-no. i actually had a chit chat with the person in charge of the lilly area about it and from what she said they will and have taken action against people using pictures of their flowers for personal gain. i think its silly, but they do have it posted so i guess they have the right to.

feel free to post a few of your shots in this thread as well ide love to see them!
