  1. Default mountian minnows/frozen daphnia

    Hi

I have just added some frozen daphnia to my biorb as a treat for my 3 mountain minnows - it seems one of the fish seems to be boss and is chasing the other two away. Although one is the same size the third is smaller than the other two - is this roughness natural behaviour?

    Default

Yes, mountain minnows are rather aggressive towards eachoter but the aggression almost never cause a problem.

  3. Default

mountain minnows are sometimes agressive towards eachother. I have noticed that it tends to be around feeding times, the most dominant one will chase away the others so he can have it all to himself. If you can get the food to spread out then the others can also get some. Anyway they are a fun to watch, hardy fish.
