  1. Default What about little crabs ?

Was in the fish store tonight and picked up 5 new little fish, noticed they had a tank that had a bunch of little brown colored crabs about the size of quarters..... are these any good to keep in a community tank ?

  2. Default

Most "freshwater" crabs really need land, and many need brackish water. Knowing the exact species of crab and what you have in the tank would help.
I hate hearing people say "it's only a $3/$5/$1 fish/shrimp, so it's ok if it dies, I can just get another." It's still an animal! All animals should be treated like they're worth $10,000.

Please click an egg so they'll grow.

  3. Default

Any type of crab that I have tried keeping in a tank has either started eating my fish when they slept, or died in some hard to get to place.

LOL jparacutist357...... well those both sound like good enough reasons not to put one in my tank....... THANKS !!!
