Stocking 75g Tank
Hi, I currently have the following fish I am planning to put into a 75g tank: 3 fan tail goldfish (2-2.5" long), 1 black moore (3-4" long), 1 pleco (4" long) and 1 cory (1" long). I know that the pleco and cory are warm water fish and the goldfish are cold water fish but they currently seem to get along in my 10g at around 75 degrees. When I move them to the 75g tank, I am planning on getting 5 more corys to form the school. With the additional corys and my current fish, am I at capacity for 75g? If not, are there other fish you would recommend to add? Thanks

There are quite a few species of corydora that are known as "spotted." Is your cory fully grown? I'm just concerned he might be picked on/turned into lunch by the goldies.

If I were you I would rehome the pleco for the simple reason of they get 24" long and are the biggest poop producers out there. I strongly urge you to do that. If you do that and still feel a need for a pleco I would get a Bristlenose Pleco. They only get 4 or 5 inches long and come in multiple colors.
Are you planning on running a canister filter on this tank?Lots of tanks. Some tanks are planted. Fish include community and bettas.

Currently I have a Marineland canister for up to 30g but I plan on getting 1 more canister for up to 100g and then a aquaclear hob, that will all go on the 75g tank

hi Jess
I just recently put an aquarium together, so I know how much fun you are having. I assume you got the cycling and such behind you and I hope that went well. I am a newbie to fishkeeping so any knowledge I have, mostly, is book learned and not from experience. As I understand it, you may get fish with different environmental requirements to live in the same tank, but the life expectancy of fish kept out of their ideal range is shortened and they are more vulnerable to disease and tend to grow slower as well. I think if it were me, I would rehome the goldies (my preference is for tropical). In any event I would think you should either go coldwater or tropical and avoid mixing the two. Well, that's my newbie opinion. I'm sure the old heads here in these forums will give you the right info. G'luck to you and looking forward to following what you do.
