Filter Recommendation for Office Tank
I want to set up a brand new 17G tank in our new office later in March or April. The best filter for this situation would have to be effective in keeping the water clean (probably more a function of size compared to tank size and number of fish in there), it should be easy to access and clean without making a mess on office furniture, it should be reasonably quiet, and if possible not very obvious. Does that describe the ideal perfect filter? lol
So far I tend towards an AquaClear 30 type filter (http://www.amazon.com/AquaClear-30-P...003521&sr=8-5), but that's just from what I read. I would love to get some advice from others that have experience with different filters and why they like theirs.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks in advance!

If I were you I would absolutely NOT get an AquaClear 30 type filter.
I WOULD get an actual AquaClear 30... Yes I would.
AC30s are Versatile, Effective, Adjustable & Easy to maintain, & IMO the best option if you are going HOB.

ditto that. Aquaclears rock.
The only other option that would be as good would be a canister filter. They are dead quiet.

Love my AquaClear Filters!

I have one on all three tanks... AC20, AC30 and AC110. Very reliable, efficient and overall quiet. I've had my AC30 for over 5years and haven't had to replace it or anything on it. Still going strong!

im another for AC 30, i <3 AC filters they seem the best thing next to canister filters, but they arent "not very obvious" if you wanted all the above then a small canister would be the key
