I've been watching the old MI series from the 60's courtesy of Netflix. I'm still on the first year and one thing I've noticed is Dan Briggs' AQUARIUM!!

I can't be sure of the size, but it's got to be close to 5 feet long, and built into a wall so it divides a hallway from the living room. He walks behind it every so often, and I will hit PAUSE just to look at it!

No high tech here: Two small pendant lights overhead; very few plants, probably fake; very few fish; NO sign of filtration, but that could have been hidden in the walls at either end. With each episode, the tank changes slightly - there are more plants now (in episode 9 or 10) than there were in episode 1, and the fish aren't all comets anymore.

What bugs me is that I KNOW Briggs (Steven Hill) will be replaced by Phelps (Peter Graves); when that happens...bye-bye aquarium! Unless Phelps moves into Briggs' apartment!!!???
