Time to re-invent the tank at work!
I recently returned to my job after a 14 month lay-off. When I left, I had a beautiful 29g in our breakroom set up w/ community fish. Apparently nobody learned a darn thing about tank care in the 6 years I had it running prior to being laid-off! All I came back to find was algae... Lots of algae! I have the tank all better now and ready for life. I'm thinking clawed frogs instead of fish or maybe both. Anyone have experience w/ them to share. Again, it is a 29g and currently has minor decor w/ live plants.
If acf are a bad idea but you think you have some better ones, please chime in as well. Thanks!

I have no advice...but even though they didn't look after it properly, I'm amazed it was even still there after 14 months!

Acf get 6" long, but have personality. They can also be fed every 2 or so days instead of every day. The only problem is if they get too cold they can't move so they drown.

Thanks for the advice all. Still unsure which way I'm going w/ it this time. The adf are also a possibility... Are they as hardy as clawed - just how small are they? Fully aquadic frogs are all new to me, never had one.
Rue-All I could find was this cell pic from a few years back... Sorry so dark. Unbelievable what it looked like a few weeks ago!Did you take a 'before' photo?

ADF males are up to about 1.5 inches, females can get up to 1 inch larger than them. They are pretty hardy IME, just same as stated above with the ACF's, you dont want them to get too cold. Or too hot. Other than that, very durable little guys. :)

For some reason the idea of acf or adf did not go over as I expected. Co-workers all agreed it looked to nice for just a couple frogs!?!?
So now I'm thinking a swarm of kuhlii loaches and maybe a dojo or two!

The 'before' was nice! Too bad they let it go.
The 'after' looks very clean!
I like frogs, but I'd also prefer fish in a tank. Most non-fish people like active brightly coloured fish...and with that in mind, fish like platies are always fun to watch.55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

I would think ADF would like sand better than gravel but either way, sounds as they get a bit too large for the tank. Fill it up with little fish and call it done. It looks nice.
