  1. Default 40B on a 75g stand

Will that work or will it cause to much stress to the stand?
The stand is one of those wood stand u buy from performance made from them heavy cheap plywood.

I'm thinking of setting it up in the middle of the stand.

If I am remembering correctly, a 40 gallon breeder is 36" long and a 75 is 48" long, so I would say no

The stand should fit completely under the tank and support all sides
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

+1 to Cliff. I would be nervous trying it.

    5 gallon planted betta sorority
Lack of planning on your part doesn't justify an emergency on my part.

I have always used 2X4s to build my stands.

But then again, I tend to overbuild things a little.

Do I have to use plywood?
Can I just sit the tank right on top of the 2x3 without adding a sheet of plywood?
I'm going to just cover the stand up with a sheet of cotton.
