    Its hard to tell from the pic for sure but it does appear to be new growth. From what I have seen though, the "heads" compress to an oblong shape like the one in the center of your three, and slowly connect in the middle forming two "heads", aventually splitting into two independant of each other.

    Ive done lots of searching in the past few minutes and that is endeed new growth! I love the way acans look in a bunch,Im very excited. Ive only had this frag for about a month.

    Congrats Smaug!! It is a little beauty! At first glance I mistook it for a candycane, as I am totally unfamiliar w/ all the true species' names... Way to much for my head to wrap around, lol... Good luck!
